I am a hobbyist woodworker and I usually spend my leisure time in woodworking. I have started this blog to share ideas with people having similar interest. Here, I will share how to build furnitures required for your home and tools/jigs plans. Those include - building kitchen cabinets, small puja unit, shoe rack, wall mount cabinets, tool building plans etc. It will also guide you how to operate different woodworking tools, getting used to softwares like sketchup for woodworking plans etc.
Have you ever thought of building your own guitar? Well, though I thought it to be very difficult, lately, there is a plan in my mind. To keep it easy to build, I will keep everything very simple and straight forward. I will discuss the plan here, in a later page I can discuss about the execution.
Key points to note - the fretboard length is approximately 17 and 1/4 inches which will cover 20 frets. So, keeping that in mind we have to proceed with the plan. Please have some time to go through all the pictures below.
6"x14"x12"x14" - 2 pieces
4" diameter sound hole cut in one piece
Solid wood with 2" diameter cut in half around 21" long
Support wooden beadings to hold the fretboard tightly
Fretboard/Neck view
fretboard/Neck held tightly by beadings
Support blocks, a closer view
Support blocks, closer view
Beadings are fitted closer to the edges so that side frames can be held
Beadings are fitted in both the pieces

Side frame fitted
Both the sides are fitted
Bottom block fitted
Side blocks fitted
Saddle/Bridge holder fitting
Nut fitted
Nut grooves
The neck where fretboard will be fitted, will be made of hard wood, I would prefer teak or sheesham. The body part will be made using 4mm thick plywood. I have a fender CD60 acoustic guitar. Let me show you how I am planning to build my guitar taking that as reference.
